Shu, Chau-ing Foundation
The Shu, Chau-ing Foundation was founded in 2000 in honor of former Chairman, Shu Chau-ing.  Its goals are to care for the underprivileged, provide aid for the needy, and set more clear goals and detailed planning in giving back to society.  The Foundation is composed of Kinpo Electronics, Inc., Compal Electronics, Inc,, Mr. Shu Chau-ing, Mr. Rock Hsu, Ms. Tsai Li-chu, Mr. Hsu, Sheng-chieh as well as 13 other charitable persons, contributing NTD140 million.
During the initial preparation period, the 921 earthquake occurred.  The Foundation actively participated in the earthquake relief efforts, expecially helping affected aborigines rebuild their homes.  In order to allow children in the affected areas continue their education and provide aboriginal women with employment opportunities, the Foundation built the Fu-din Kindergarten in Zi Jiang Village, Taiping City, Taichung.
With the mission of caring for the underprivileged in society, the Shu, Chau-ing Foundation has supported many philanthropic events since its founding.  For the past five years, it has kept to its aspiration of “taking from society, using for society” and helped many people through its charity work.
